Amy Witanowski, 24 years old from Sydney, Australia. Amy contributed invaluably to the XO project and teaching English. Using her knowledge in I.T she was able to create hi-tech interactive lessons for the children, taking the project to the next level. Amy also produced informative teaching guides for other volunteers, passing on her experience.

Adam Witanowski, 33 years old from Sydney, Australia. Amy’s husband Adam developed the present Blood Foundation’s website. He was also involved in developing internet access at MoungChoum School to facilitate the XO project.

Jamie Hamley, 21 years old from London, England. James Hallamore, 22 years old from London, England. Jamie and James taught English and P.E at MoungChoum School and Souncha School. In addition, they organized an English Camp: ‘Reaching for the Little Stars’ for Souncha. They were involved in several Scout camps and educational activities. The pair lived in the rural village of MoungChoum. Furthermore they helped with several other Blood Foundation projects.

Rosalie Hertsenberg , 25 years old from Groningen, The Netherlands.
After participating in the Monk for a Month programme Rosalie helped translate material for the Blood Foundation’s website and brochure. She helped with some of the organisation, and took part in, the ‘Novices for Children Project’.

Renée Giusepinni, 26 years old from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Renée also helped translate material for the Blood Foundation website and brochure. She took interest in the weaving project and developed some valuable contacts for that programme. Furthermore she joined in with the ‘Novices for Children’ aid projects.

Kate Benge, 21 years old from Wellington, New Zealand. Kate’s deep interest in the oppressive Burmese regime inspired her to write an in-depth article about the plight of the Shan people. She participated in the ‘Novices for Children’ aid projects and has an ongoing involvement with the Blood Foundation.
